Setting Up Instagram on Brand2Social

To access all Instagram features on Brand2Social, your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account and must be linked to a Facebook Page. This guide walks you through each of those steps before connecting to Brand2Social.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure the following:

• You have an active Instagram account you want to connect.
• You have an active Facebook account with admin access to a Facebook Page. If you don’t have a Facebook Page yet, create one here.
• You are using a supported browser (latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).

Step 1 — Convert Your Instagram Account to a Business Account

If your Instagram account is already a Business or Creator account, skip ahead to Step 2.

The following steps use the Instagram web version on desktop:

1. On Instagram’s web version, click your profile image in the top-right corner and select Settings from the dropdown menu.

2. In the Settings menu, click Account type and tools.

3. Click Switch to Professional Account.

4. You will see two options — select Business Account.

5. Choose the category that best describes your business from the list provided, then click Done.

6. Optionally, enter your email, phone number, and address. You can also connect your Facebook account here or skip this step. Your Instagram account is now a Business Account.

Step 2 — Link Your Instagram Account to a Facebook Page

Before adding Instagram to Brand2Social, your Instagram Business Account must be linked to a Facebook Page. The following steps use the Facebook web version on desktop:

1. On Facebook, click your profile image in the top-right corner and select your Facebook Page from the dropdown menu.

2. Click Settings & Privacy from the menu options.

3. Click Settings.

4. Click Linked Accounts from the Permissions section in the Settings menu.

5. Click the Connect Account button.

6. Select Instagram and click Connect.

7. Click Confirm to proceed.

8. A pop-up window will appear — enter your Instagram credentials and log in.

9. After logging in, click Continue to finalize the connection.

10. Your Instagram account is now successfully connected to your Facebook Page.

Step 3 — Add Instagram to Brand2Social

With your Instagram Business Account linked to a Facebook Page, you can now connect it to Brand2Social.

1. Log in to your Brand2Social account and navigate to the Integrations page. Click the Connect button next to Instagram from the list.

2. Read the instructions displayed and click to proceed.

3. Review the access request from Brand2Social and click Connect.

4. A list of Instagram accounts linked to your Facebook Page will appear. If everything was set up correctly in Steps 1 and 2, your Instagram account will be displayed here.

5. Select your Instagram account — it is now successfully connected to Brand2Social.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

My Instagram account is not appearing in the list in Step 3

• Confirm your Instagram account is a Business or Creator account — personal accounts will not appear.
• Confirm your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page and that you are an admin of that Page.
• Try completing the Facebook login flow in Step 3 again — sometimes the token needs to be refreshed.

I cannot find the Linked Accounts option in Facebook Settings

• Facebook occasionally updates its interface. If Linked Accounts is not under Permissions, try navigating to Facebook Page Settings → Instagram directly, where you can also connect your Instagram account.

I linked my Instagram to Facebook but Brand2Social still shows no accounts

• Return to Step 2 and verify the connection is active in Facebook’s Linked Accounts section.
• Make sure you selected the correct Facebook Page — if you manage multiple Pages, only accounts linked to the specific Page you selected during Brand2Social’s login flow will appear.
