
In some cases, re-authenticating through Brand2Social alone may not resolve connection issues. When this happens, a full reset is required â this involves removing Brand2Social’s access directly from Facebook and then reconnecting from scratch. This ensures a complete and clean reset of the connection.
When Should You Do a Full Reset?
A full reset is recommended when:
- Re-authenticating from Brand2Social has not resolved post failures or disconnection errors.
- You are experiencing persistent permission issues even after verifying them in Facebook’s Business integrations.
- You want to switch the Facebook account used to manage your connected Pages or Instagram accounts.
- Brand2Social is showing outdated Pages or accounts that no longer exist or have changed ownership.
âšī¸ Note: Before doing a full reset, try re-authenticating directly from Brand2Social first, as it is quicker and does not affect your scheduled posts or settings.
Step 1 â Log In as the Page or Group Admin
1. Log in to Facebook using the account that is the admin of the Page or Group you want to reset.
â ī¸ Important: You must be logged in as the admin of the relevant Page or Group. Using a non-admin account will prevent you from completing this process.
Step 2 â Navigate to Settings
1. Click the small drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of Facebook.
2. Select Settings & privacy â Settings.
Step 3 â Open Business Integrations
1. In the left-hand side menu, click Security and login.
2. Then click Business integrations.

Step 4 â Remove Brand2Social
1. From the list of authenticated apps, find Brand2Social.
2. Click Remove next to Brand2Social.
3. Confirm the removal when prompted by Facebook.

â ī¸ Important: Removing Brand2Social from Facebook revokes all access tokens for every Page and Instagram account connected through that Facebook account. All of these accounts will need to be reconnected in Brand2Social after this step.

Step 5 â Reconnect Through Brand2Social
Now that the Facebook connection has been fully cleared, you can reconnect cleanly from Brand2Social.
1. Log in to your Brand2Social account.
2. In the left-side navigation menu, click on Integrations under the Social Accounts section.
3. Locate Facebook or Instagram in the list and click the Connect button.
4. Complete the Facebook login flow â log in with the admin account, grant all requested permissions, and select the Pages and Instagram accounts you want to manage.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
I cannot find Brand2Social in the Business integrations list
- This means Brand2Social’s access has already been fully removed from your Facebook account, either manually or by Facebook automatically. You can skip straight to Step 5 and reconnect.
After reconnecting, some Pages or Instagram accounts are still missing
- During the Facebook login flow in Step 5, make sure you toggle on every Page and Instagram account you want to connect â any that are toggled off will not appear in Brand2Social.
- If a Page is still missing, check that your Facebook account has a direct Admin role on that Page (inherited roles are not sufficient). See Integrating Facebook Pages with Brand2Social for more details.
My scheduled posts were affected by the reset
- Scheduled posts that were queued to a now-disconnected account will fail to publish until the account is reconnected. After completing Step 5, check your content calendar and reschedule any affected posts.
