Integrating Your Twitter Account with Brand2Social

Integrating Twitter with Brand2Social streamlines your social media management by allowing you to create, schedule, and publish tweets directly from our platform. This integration helps you manage your Twitter presence efficiently, ensuring timely and engaging content for your audience. With centralized engagement and performance tracking, you can monitor interactions and optimize your Twitter strategy.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:

• You must have an active Twitter (X) account that you own or have full access to.
• You have valid login credentials for your Twitter account.
• You are using a supported browser (latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) with cookies and pop‑ups enabled.
• You must have an approved twitter Developer Account. Visit Twitter Developer Portal to get one.

Step 1 — Set Up Your Twitter Developer App

1. Go to the Twitter Developer Portal and click Get Started Now.

2. Enter your business-related description, accept the agreement and policy, then click Submit.

3. Navigate to Projects and Apps, click on Default Project, then click Set Up.

4. Select your App Permissions and Type of App as required.

Step 2 — Configure App Info

1. In the App Info section, enter the following details:

• Callback URL: https://app.brand2social.com/twitter-redirect
• Website URL: https://brand2social.com

2. Click Save once all details are entered.

Step 3 — Copy Your Client ID and Client Secret

1. After saving, Twitter will display your Client ID and Client Secret.
2. Copy and save these temporarily in a notepad — you will need them later.

Step 4 — Regenerate API Key and Secret

1. Navigate to the Keys and Tokens section of your app.
2. Click Regenerate API Key and Secret.

3. Copy and save the API Key and API Key Secret in your notepad.

⚠️ Important: These values are only shown once. If you navigate away without saving them, you will need to regenerate them again.

Step 5 — Regenerate Access Token and Secret

1. In the same Keys and Tokens section, click Regenerate Access Token and Secret.

2. Copy and save the Access Token and Access Token Secret in your notepad.

⚠️ Important: Like the API Key, the Access Token Secret is only shown once. Save it immediately before closing the window.

Step 6 — Connect in Brand2Social

1. Log in to your Brand2Social account and go to the Integrations page.
2. Locate Twitter in the list and click the Connect button.

3. Paste your API Key, API Key Secret, Access Token, and Access Token Secret into the respective fields.

4. Click Connect.

Step 7 — Confirm the Integration

1. You will be returned to the Integrations page.
2. Your Twitter Developer account should now appear with a green connected status.
3. The integration is now complete — you can start creating and scheduling tweets from Brand2Social.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

The Twitter connection shows as “Expired” or “Disconnected”

Twitter access tokens can be revoked if you change your Twitter password or manually remove Brand2Social from your authorized apps. To fix this:

1. Go to the Integrations page in Brand2Social.
2. Click the three dots next to the affected Twitter account.
3. Click Reauthorize and complete the Twitter login flow again.

Posts are not publishing to Twitter

• Verify the integration status is Connected (not expired).
• Make sure the post content meets Twitter’s requirements (e.g., 280 character limit, supported media formats).
• Check that you have selected the correct connected Twitter account when composing the post.

Once your Twitter account is successfully connected to Brand2Social, you can take advantage of the following features:

• Publish Directly — Publish text tweets, images, videos, and GIFs directly to Twitter without leaving Brand2Social.
• Manage Multiple Accounts — Connect and manage multiple Twitter accounts from a single dashboard — ideal for agencies and multi-brand teams.
• Analytics — Track engagement metrics such as impressions, likes, retweets, and profile clicks directly within Brand2Social.
• Content Calendar — Visualize your Twitter publishing schedule alongside other social platforms in a unified calendar view.
• Team Collaboration — Assign posts for review, leave comments, and approve content with your team before publishing.
