Integrating your Google My Business account with Brand2Social streamlines your local marketing efforts by allowing you to create, schedule, and publish updates directly from our platform. This integration ensures that your business information, promotions, and updates are consistently and accurately posted, reaching your audience effectively. With centralized management and performance tracking, you can monitor engagement and optimize your Google My Business strategy.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • You must be an Owner or Manager of the Google My Business location(s) you wish to connect.
  • Your Google My Business location must be verified — unverified locations cannot be integrated with Brand2Social.
  • You have valid login credentials for the Google account associated with your Google My Business profile.
  • You are using a supported browser (latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) with cookies and pop‑ups enabled.

Step 1 — Navigate to the Integrations Page

1. Log in to your Brand2Social account.
2. In the left-side navigation menu, click on Integrations under the Social Accounts section.
3. You will see a list of all available social media platforms.

4. Locate Google My Business in the list and click the Connect button next to it.

Step 2 — Choose Your Google Account

After clicking Connect, a Google login window will open in a new tab.

1. If you are already logged in to a Google account in your browser, Google will display your available accounts.
2. Select the Google account associated with your Google My Business profile.
3. If you are not logged in, enter your Google email address and password and click Next.

⚠️ Important: Make sure you select the Google account that has Owner or Manager access to your Google My Business locations. Choosing the wrong account will mean your locations do not appear in the next step.

Step 3 — Review and Allow Permissions

Google will display a permissions screen listing what Brand2Social is requesting access to.

1. Review the permissions carefully — these are required for Brand2Social to publish posts and updates to your business locations.
2. Click Continue to grant access.

ℹ️ Note: If you have previously connected Google My Business and are reconnecting, you may be taken through this screen again. Ensure you click Continue to refresh the authorization.

Step 4 — Select Your Google My Business Locations

After granting permissions, you will be redirected back to Brand2Social, where your Google My Business locations will be listed.

1. Brand2Social will display all locations associated with your Google My Business account, along with their verification status.
2. Select the locations you wish to integrate by clicking on them or ticking the checkbox next to each one.
3. If you manage multiple locations, you can select more than one at this stage (subject to your Brand2Social plan limits).

4. Click Connect or Confirm to proceed.

⚠️ Important: Only verified Google My Business locations can be integrated with Brand2Social. Unverified locations will appear in the list but cannot be selected. To verify a location, visit Google Business Profile Help.

Step 5 — Confirm the Integration

Once you have selected your locations and confirmed, Brand2Social will finalize the connection.

1. You will be returned to the Integrations page.
2. Your Google My Business locations should now appear with a green connected status or a checkmark indicating a successful connection.
3. You will also see the business name and location displayed on the integration tile.
4. The integration is now complete — you can start creating and scheduling Google My Business updates from Brand2Social.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

My Google My Business location is not appearing in the list

  • Confirm that your Google account has an Owner or Manager role for the location. Viewer roles are not sufficient.
  • Check that the location is verified in Google Business Profile. Unverified locations cannot be connected.
  • If access was recently granted, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration to force a refresh.

My location appears but cannot be selected

  • This means the location is unverified. Visit Google Business Profile to complete the verification process, then return to Brand2Social to connect it.

The Google My Business connection shows as “Expired” or “Disconnected”

Google access tokens can expire if you change your Google password or revoke app permissions. To fix this:

1. Go to the Integrations page in Brand2Social.
2. Click the three dots next to the affected location.
3. Click Reauthorize and complete the Google login flow again (Steps 2–4).

Posts are not publishing to Google My Business

  • Verify the integration status is Connected (not expired).
  • Make sure the post content meets Google’s requirements (e.g., supported image formats, post character limits).
  • Check that you have selected the correct connected location when composing the post.

What You Can Do After Connecting

Once your Google My Business account is successfully connected to Brand2Social, you can take advantage of the following features:
